Gary “Doc” Holloway started learning saxophone at age 11 and piano at age 15. He attended Rio Grande College where he studied music and fine arts.

He learned to teach multiple musical instruments and was certified by the Ohio Board of Education to teach music K-12th grades. He was the band director at Scolerarts School K-12 from whence he retired in 2009. He has conducted various community bands and church band ensembles over a fifty-year span starting at his own church at age 15.

Gary was a professional saxophone player for Paradise Cruise line and he was featured with band members from the Conan O’Brian show. He was hired as a judge for the high school jazz band competition at Ohio State University.
