Maive Arndt is a music therapist with 35 years of clinical and educational experience, widely recognized for her pioneering work in music therapy, music education, neurodevelopment, and adaptive music. She holds a degree in Music Therapy from the Faculdade de Artes do Paraná and a specialization in Music Education from the Escola de Música e Belas Artes do Paraná, in Brazil.

As the Manager of HOM Therapy, Maive oversees all therapeutic programming at House of Music PSL, ensuring quality care for children with autism, developmental differences, communication challenges, and diverse learning needs. She also leads HOM & Therapy’s training programs, where she trains music teachers in adaptive music approaches and guides professionals from other disciplines including speech therapists, educators, behavioral professionals, and therapists on how to use music as a tool to support communication, sensory regulation, language development, and emotional growth.

Through HOM Mobile, Maive expands these services to schools, community centers, churches, and partner organizations, providing outreach, adaptive programs, and professional training across South Florida.

Maive has participated in major international music therapy congresses, including the World Congress of Music Therapy (WCMT) the most prestigious global conference in the field. In 2020, she attended the 16th WCMT organized by the World Federation of Music Therapy, in collaboration with the University of Pretoria, Tshwane School of Music, SAMTA, and MusicWorks.

A respected international speaker, she lectures annually at Brazil’s largest music education congress hosted by CAEM in São Paulo. In 2024, she was a featured speaker at Tearteiro/UNIP in São Paulo and at the Autism Journey Conference in Fort Lauderdale, presenting on autism, communication, sensory integration, and developmental support through music.

Her global contributions include invited lectures in Seville, Spain; parent-child workshops for the Vida Música Project; and specialized teacher training in Portugal. In 2025, she led a professional international immersion at House of Music PSL alongside renowned pediatric neurologist Dr. Carlos Gadia and Grazi Gadia, prominent leaders in autism services in South Florida.

Maive is the founder of two influential institutions: Espaço Musical, a traditional music school in Curitiba with 30 years of history, and House of Music PSL, established in 2017. Under her leadership, the school has expanded into a comprehensive center offering music, therapy, arts, motor skills, adaptive enrichment, academic support, and professional development.

She is also the creator of Musicandflix, a digital platform for music educators and therapists, and the TUNE Method, a structured system that trains professionals to use music effectively in therapeutic and educational settings, including strategies that support speech therapy and communication development.

With her lifelong dedication to music, inclusion, and child development, Maive continues to inspire families, educators, therapists, and communities through her innovative work at House of Music PSL and beyond.
