Alejandro Lucini, B.M.Ed., is an accomplished drummer, percussionist, and music educator with more than 35 years of professional teaching and performance experience. Originally from Brazil and trained in some of the most respected music programs internationally, Alejandro brings exceptional expertise in rhythm, world music styles, and ensemble performance to House of Music PSL.
Alejandro earned his Bachelor of Music Education (Magna Cum Laude) from Howard University in Washington, D.C. He also studied Composition at the University of Rio de Janeiro and completed extensive training in ear training, percussion, music theory, and ensemble performance at several renowned institutions in Brazil.
He has taught drumming, percussion, and world music at major institutions including:
• George Washington University – Drum-set & Hand Percussion Studio Instructor (19 years)
• GWU Latin Band Director – Directing a full Afro-Cuban and Latin ensemble
• Somerset College Preparatory Academy – Band Director (K–12)
• Manatee Academy – Band Director (K–12)
• Rock of Ages Music School (VA)
• Del Ray School of Music (VA)
• Levine School of Music (Washington, D.C.)
At House of Music PSL, Alejandro teaches:
