Rachel Castano, B.A., is a dedicated educator and music instructor serving both House of Music PSL and HOM Academy. With an exceptional academic record, multilingual teaching abilities, and diverse instructional experience, Rachel provides structured, patient, and highly supportive learning environments for students of all ages.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from American Military University, graduating with a 3.90 GPA, Dean’s List distinction, and membership in The Golden Key International Honour Society and The Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement. She also holds an Associate of Arts in Music from Indian River State College, where she strengthened her musicianship and vocal training.
She is currently completing her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) with a 4.0 GPA, expanding her understanding of child development, learning differences, inclusive instruction, and supportive educational environments. Rachel is also TEFL/TESOL certified and CPR-certified.
Rachel participated in AFJROTC in high school, earning distinctions such as the Patriotic Ribbon, Death March Ribbon, and Honor Flight participation, building discipline, leadership skills, and a strong commitment to service qualities that directly enhance her teaching.
Role at House of Music PSL & HOM Academy
HOM Academy
Rachel serves as a Tutor, supporting students across core subjects, organization skills, independent learning, and academic confidence.
She also teaches Beginner Japanese, helping students explore foundational vocabulary, pronunciation, writing basics, and conversational structures in an engaging and accessible format.
House of Music PSL
Rachel teaches:
• Voice (beginner–intermediate)
• Adaptive Music for neurodivergent children (non-clinical, inclusive instruction)
• Early musicianship and music enrichment
Her adaptive music classes use sensory-friendly routines, structured pacing, and individualized strategies to support neurodivergent learners in a calm, positive, and inclusive environment.
