Sonia Gamboa, M.A., is an accomplished music educator and Spanish instructor with more than 25 years of teaching experience. Originally from Las Tunas, Cuba, Sonia brings a strong academic background and a warm, structured teaching style to both House of Music PSL and HOM Academy.

Sonia holds a Master of Arts in Music Teacher Education from the Higher Institute of Art in Havana, a Bachelor of Arts in Music Teaching from the National School of Music, and an Associate of Science in Social Communication. She spent decades teaching at the Professional School of Music in Las Tunas, where she developed deep expertise in music instruction, curriculum design, and student engagement.

At House of Music PSL, Sonia teaches piano, voice, violin, music theory, and adaptive music. Her adaptive music sessions offer accessible, structured, and engaging activities designed to support students with diverse learning styles, including neurodivergent children. She focuses on musical exploration, sensory-friendly strategies, and individualized pacing to help each student succeed.

At HOM Academy, Sonia also teaches Spanish, creating interactive lessons that build vocabulary, pronunciation, reading skills, and conversational confidence. Her bilingual background and long career in education make Spanish both enjoyable and approachable for learners at any level.

Sonia is known for her patient guidance, strong classroom management, and ability to motivate students through encouragement and hands-on learning. Her classroom environments are safe, positive, and inclusive—ideal for helping students express themselves and grow.
